Default Victor Racers Questions

I have a chance to buy some victor racers. The guy says :

I have a set of (very gently) used 205/50/15 Victoracers off my Miata for sale. I say very gently used because they only have 3 events worth of runs on them. Tread still showing on all four tires (anyone who's run Victos knows that means they're barely scrubbed in). I'll try and get pics up tonight.
I recently got my V710's back and no longer have use for these.

Should I jump on these? They were used on a Miata and I will be using them on my 2000 Civic. How long should these last and is it a good deal?

Something tells me from your spelling of Victoracers that you don't autocross or track. If thats the case, don't even bother with them, because they are completely inappropriate for street use.

If you do autocross, and can get them for cheap enough, go for it. They are good tires, and they last long too. The guy got them for free from Kumho, so try and talk him down as low as possible.

800 on tires? You can get new Victoracers in 15" for under $500.

I don't know what you've done to your car, but since it is obviously "stylin" I'm guess that you have modded it. Here is the part that I don't get though. No matter how much money you put into the engine, how much you put in the suspension, how big your wheels are, how big your brakes are.... the car still only touches the pavement in four places. The tires. If you cheap out on the tires, you basically nullify everything else that you have put so much money into. Tires are the LAST place to try to save money if you are serious about performance....

I just dont have that kinda money to spend on tires that will not last very long. Long for a race tire but not very long. I love to autocross, but Im not looking to win my class. People have way to much money into there cars. Im an 18 year old student so you know how that budget is. I think I am just going to get some Azenis and have fun on the course. Right now im running 16"s with kumho ecasta supras (my daily driving wheels) but am trying to pick up some Si wheels and azenis.
