Si VTEC fuel pump specs
I looked around on here and couldnt find out how much psi the stock si vtec fuel pump is capable of. Basically I want to find out if the prelude pushes more than the one made for a stock d16z6. If so I think purchasing an aftermarket pump that is equal or better than the prelude will make my h22 run better.
I can't say for sure, but I'm willing to bet that the Prelude VTEC fuel pump is rated higher than virtually any D-series fuel pump. Why would Honda put an overkill fuel pump on their econobox when they're trying to keep the cost down? Anyway, the amount of fuel is directly proportional to the max potential power, and the H22's 190/200hp is a little more than the z6's output.
At any rate, have you considered getting an aftermarket fuel pump? I think this would be a better choice, especially if you plan on adding any power adders that require a fuel pump upgrade (255lph)

you have to factor in the crucial measurement of volume? you cant measure a pump by is PSI output with no measurement of volume? Thats like trying to measure an amount of electricity in volts, or like trying to measure a 3d object with 2 dimensions. The vtec pump will most likely flow more however if you are nearly stock the D-series will work, I had an h22 in a civic vx with a stock fuel pump with I/E making 170whp with a stock p28
