Default Pictures from the BRIC at Road America (sorry 56K users)

Below are some picutres I took from the BRIC at Road America a week ago. If you've never heard of the BRIC, it's one of the largest gatherings of vintage race cars. Each year has special features, this year featured Formula One, Formula Junior Reunion and Race, Historic Formula Libra and the Nickey Chevrolet Reunion.

Seeing those pics makes me sad that I've only been to Road America once in my life, and that it'll be years before I can even think about the opportunity to drive there.

A person from offcamber.net took these photos, they are very nice pics:

Wow, someone else was there too. When did you go? I went Thurs-Sunday I mostly hung around and helped out a friend of a friend with his 1983 GTP racecar. We had a nice spot behind I'll post some pics once we-todd-did is back up. Those '93 Ferrari cars are another friend of friends' cars (Brian and Earl). Too bad Earl's wheel fell off during the race sunday. He had like an 8 second lead up until that point! I have a lot of stories about those guys, they are incredible drivers.

to Road America and a great race weekend

I was there just on Saturday. Hearing the F1 cars buzzing through Canada Corner was fantastic.

That would be the Morgan Aero 8 you see as the last two pictures.

Oh and the following, is one man's personal collection. Why? Because he can. Unfortunately he wasn't looking to adopt me.

All in all a great weekend! I was one of the race chairman for the event and also crewed on a Fiat 128 coupe. I encourge any one who is interested in vintage cars to check this event out. It is the largest vintage race event in the country.
There is also a smaller vintage event in sept at Road America. Lots of fun and very low key.

All those cars belong to a guy name Brian. All he does is travel around the world and race F1 cars. I work with a guy who has been friends with him for 30 years.
