So I left work and ate lunch at home today, flip on speed, and its the start of the first race @ infinion. (Granted, im out of the loop, so im not sure when the race even took place) at the end of the race they announce tonight, live on speed, the second race at 6 pm. I think woohoo, I get off work at 5, shop, cook dinner, sit down with a fish taco, and its goddamn NASCAR vision....where is the icon for a middle finger for speed. Yeah, so I know you all know when the race happend, so I dont need to hear that, I was just venting again on Speed, and how they didnt edit out that part of the commentary.

the grm interview of dave despain kind of summed it up.

in this country NASCAR is the national racing, original speedvision didnt own the rights so they filled the lineup with the stuff WE liked to see. when FOX realized how much the channel had grown they bought speedvision and essentially the audience, they had the NASCAR rights so they started showing it, gradually cancelling the other "filler" stuff.

it wont get better, a new network will have to be started.

 

You guys are complaining because SPEED didn't edit out an advertisement from a tape delayed race?? Thats really reaching.
