lol welcome to 1992. These pictures are very old guy. Not to flame.

But yeah, the Mugen Pro2 kit is quite nice.

The last picture is a CRX Si Special Edition, not mugen.

Ok, ill make a question out of these... Didnt all of the JDM CRX's have wrap around bumper lights?? Like the second picture. Then why is the top picture have square bumper lights? Did mugen make a USDM kit?

Well I personally don't like that little hood "bump", but the rest is way cool.

I really like the brown interior in the last car.

Is the roof in the last car ALL skylight or what?

i dont care for the mugen kit personally. not to be "different" or anything, i just like the oem ef-8 front end better. i do however like the flush wing (mugen pro 1 i believe)

anyone have any info on that? im not entirely sure on that.

edit1: anyone know where one could get the bronze tint like on the moonroof or the ef-9 hatches? just curious, thanks.

crxgator;

What's the story about that skylight? How far back does it go?

It sure seems to me that having it that big would weaken the chassis as a whole.

its a glasstop, started back in 89, only japanesse crx's could get them...kinda rare and most sought after crx by the world market is the SiR w/ one...

i think its lighter than the crx with a sunroof if im not mistaken...

So, was the "glasstop" a factory installation, a Mugen install, or what? Were "kits" available for factory installation?

Was it glass or lexan? Is it a flat piece?

How many were built.

Was it only a CRX thing or was there a Hatchback version?

And that other question, how far back does it go?

Wes

The Glass roof was a factory install. It was stock on the SiR and the special edition pictured above which was only produced in 89 with the tan leather interior and the 90-91 teardrop wheels. It was also an option for alot of other models but was rarely installed. Also the 1.5x model I believe also had the SiR front end.and glasss roof. The glass is the same contour as the stock roof and yes it was glass it exstended as far back as the hatch. It was only a crx thing.

Thanks for the answers on the "glasstop"!

Normally I'd put more importance on chassis stiffness, but that's neat!!!

It would be funny to find out if the parts are still available from the factory to do a "retrofit".

What's up Gator man!

First off.. I'ld have to say that glass top at N10 was pretty sweet.... But why gut the car and put a cage in it? I mean WTF! I'ld give my right arm for a glass top and show it off....
