How Do You Guys Wire Accessories. Im lost
Like do you guys know how to get power to your accessories a better way?
So far Ive honestly been tapping the constant and switched power wire that is supposed to be used by my cd player.
Like can you tap into the fuse box or something? How do you connect the wire......
Or is what Im doing right?
So far the only accessories I have hooked are a dual power plug thing that runs my radar detector and my shift light
But Im installing my Zex kit and I need a power for the zex box, the switch and the bottle heater and dont want **** to **** up.
So can someone help. LOL AHAHAH Im an idiot

Take a look at the fuse box.
There's places for fuses and then you will see a few male "blade" connections in there as well (they look like 1/2 a fuse sticking out).
Test them to see if they are switched power or whatever.
Get a female blade connector and you're set.

Thats a good idea. I put a block off c/f plate over that and hooked up the dual one on the dash. Never thought to use it. That ones for the bottle warmer.
Im pretty sure that ones grounded right there as well
Is there a max power you can put in the 2 options? Or can I just get bigger fuses. Dont want this battery to not be able to pull.
I have a 135 amp alt so I dont know what Im rambling about

no it isnt, my radar would be on at all times if that was a constant power,
cig lighter is acc power.

technically the correct way is to wire a relay with a trigger (86) thats ignition or accessory(whichever you want), the other side(85) ground, with a fresh 12 volt from the battery being on the input(87a).... and your device on the output (30).
but those option things on the fuse box are a nice idea!
AND DONT JAM A WIRE INTO A FUSE!!!!!!!!
GHETTO. plus its now drawing more on a fuse that shouldnt have it. but yes, it does usually work. its just one of those things, when you work in vehicle security,a nd see a whole bunch of wires tapped off fuses, you say to yourself "this is gonna suck"
just my 2 cents.

Let me put it in simple terms for you.
Hook up your bottle warmer to the Options box noted on the top pic, the one on the right.
That would have power once you turn the key to the first position.
hows that??
Make sure you put a fuse in-line just to be safe, and a switch to actually turn the bottle warmer on and off.

See thats one thing I never got. I thought when it said ignition, that it only meant it was on when the ignition was clicked over once and shut down when the car was fully overtuned.
I do have a bunch of automotive switches and some inline fuse holders.
Thanks for the info
