If you have an '87, then the engine is 2.0 liters right? If so, then why you would drop that torque-less 1.6 liter of an engine into your Prelude?

or 1.8L carb
either way best option is turbo
motors in 2nd gen preludes are insanely strong and durable, screw vtec you may as well get power and torque.

2nd gen motors r PURE BEASTS!!! i used to hav a 88 prelude auto but damn when u wanted to hit it .... u were FLYING!! (but mine was crap so i paid for it after but it was worth it)
Yea im running an 88 and they are fast enough. I can get people top end all day long. Ive been able to do about 125 wide open but a car got in the way and i had to slow up. but that only if you get the 2.0 si version. mines was an auto also.

Without fabrication, only the a series from the Prelude and 3g Accord. There is a b20 with 135ps but its only for the 2g Lude and 3g Accord. The mounts are different from the 3g Preludes. The a series blocks are iron so they can take quite a bit of boost in stock form.

A Chevy 350
Seriously tho, no aftermarket mounts available. You'll have to fab them if you want out of the a series family.
