Default speedo not working

yesterday i changed my tranny fluid on a d16 and filled it back up using the speedo. i took the speedo out and the cable that ran through the firewall came out. i then fed the cable back into the firewall and bolted the speedo back in, took for a test drive and my speedometer doesnt work. any reason it doesnt work? does the end of the cable connecting through the firewall need to be specifically connect to the cluster somehow?

yes, you need to have it connect to the gauge cluster...take off the cluster cover, 4 screws and unclip the switches...next take out the four screws for the cluster and pop the cable back into the cluster...
