Default A d15b swap problem.

Whats up fellas. I have a problem with my swap. This weekend me and my friend put a d15b (vtec) into my 91 civic si hatch. The swap went pretty smoothly. Pulled the old one motor. Then swapped the wiring for the si motor to the d15b. Everything for the most part wired up and clipped in. I also used the obd0 si distributor. So we go to start it, starts up alright but doesn't rev good and it was also throwing tps sensor. It boogs down when I let the clutch out basically. So today I fixed the tps sensor no code. But now it bearly runs at all. So I replaced everything today new plugs, cap, rotor. Still nothing. Also checked all grounds, even switched around sensors like the map, tps, and a few others.

I was hoping you guys could shed some light on this problem.
Maybe some one has had this same problem.

Well the mount points on the dizzy where different so we made the si dizzy fit. I tried to fix the timing by moving the dizzy back and fourth it didn't make it much better.
Help!!

Did you place the rotor on the correct way? If you don't mark it or remember which way it goes on, you can put it on 180 degrees off.

Yeah replaced it right. It acted the same way before I changed the rotor. Another weird thing is when I put the tps back the way it was when it throw the code. It idles fine, but it falls on its face when Im drive it. Right when I let out the clutch.

The ignition maps are probably off, it would probably run its best if you converted to OBD1 and used its ECU and dizzy

I still have some of the wiring and the dizzy. Can I just make the obd1 dizzy use the obd0 plugs? Or is that not possible.

I have plenty of D15b swaps using the obd-0 dizzy and pm6 (88-91 si ecu). It should run fine. Although converting to obd-1 is a great idea, it should still run very strong with the obd-0 set up.

Do you guys know of any reason why it wouldn't be running right though. I have checked and re checked everything. Can I maybe use the obd1 dizzy and just covert the plugs that go into the harness to obd0. I checked and all the wires for the two dizzys and they look the same. I think I saw a topic on this the other day. I will search to try to find it. If you fellas have any related material it would probally help. thanks.

I don't think it'll ever run as it should with an OBD-O setup how would you use activate VTEC a ghetto switch? No you cannot use the OBD-1 dizzy with an obd0 setup convert to obd1 and use a p28 ecu if you dont have the d15b's ecu. It'll save you alot of headaches.

There is no OBD-0 ecu that would work properly with the d15b convert to obd1....

and everything imbetween.
