Default Oil Pressure meter??

For those of you who have installed a oil pressure meter how did you do it? Was it an easy task? Am I better off having my dealer or mechanic install one? I ask because I'm thinking about getting one and it is a question that my friend and I have.

you're better off with an oil temp gauge IMO.

instructions usually come with the gauge. you have to decide between a mechanical or electrical type.

Why temperature and not pressure? Isint pressure more important than temperature?

I would say that you should purchase both. However, IF you only install one, go with the pressure gauge. Unless you are using the car for track use(constant high RPM), or its turbo an oil temp. gauge is not as necessary as an oil pressure gauge.

Well, actually, if you arent using it for track time, or major boost, you dont really need either. It really draws attention to your car too, which isnt always good.

i run both. get the mechanical ones, so friggin simple to instal. well, except maybe the oil temp because of the weld in pan fitting, but aside from that, they are very straightforward and simple to install.
