help: fuel problem?
As I was returning from the expo, my itr started to shutter and jerk around while cruising at highway speeds. I decided to pull off the road and the car died on me while sitting at an idle. The car would then be very difficult to start. I let it sit for a while and it started right up. Everything seemed fine until the car started jerking forward again. I was able to get home so I replaced the fuel filter and the spark plugs. When I took it for a test drive, my problem was still not fixed. I talked with a honda mechanic and he said that my problem was in my fuel system and not with my spark. Have any of you guys ever experienced this problem before or heard of it. Thanks for the help.
if it was a spark problem (or problem with ignition/distributor systems)
a CEL probably would have lit up (aka misfire, or otherwise)
fuel delivery problems...you would be less prone to get such an obvious cel.
how many miles on the ITR, and what maintainance has been done on it?
obvious things to check are the fuel pump and fuel filter replacement.

my itr has 42,000 miles on it and has oil changes done every 2,000 miles. I work at a honda dealer so it is checked out regularly. My check engine light was already on from an evap canister code. Could this have anything to do with the code that is already existant?
