Default Where should I go?

Well the old lady through a rod on my car this weekend.(94 Accord 4 dr) I'm pretty much set on a JDM H22 transplant. My car was a non-Vtec, so is this going to be a big problem? Also I want to go with a 5 speed tranny, I have automatic now. Who should I go see about my questions? Or any advice? Should be pretty sweet. Got 17's, catback and an intake now but still need the extra ponies!! Bottoms up

How does one throw a rod on a 94 Accord? Non VTEC? Must be a DX or LX?
Hmmm the engine swap isn't too hard (there are a ton of posts in here about H22 swaps), but auto to manual conversions add a lot more work.

Automatic cars are pretty hopeless. Probably cheaper to sell the car and buy a manual-equipped one. If you're particularly attached to this specific car, you could convert it.

EDIT: Then again you're not going to get much for it with a blown block. I dunno maybe it would be cheaper to get a H22 and 5 speed and do the conversion? You pretty much have to price everything out in advance but even that can be futile.
I budgeted $6k, spent almost $10k, filed a dispute and got money back, so in the end my total parts and labor cost came to under $5k.
