Default Help...$220 +$75 labour for a new seatbelt winding/locking peice

ok first off my seatbelt is fully extended and will not wind back up into the side of the car or where ever it goes, so wtf i went to acura today they took my seatbelt apart i guess and found out that the peice that winds up and locks the seatbelt when its jerked is broke, they told me $220 for the new peice +$75 for the labour, i was now looking at the momo 3-point harness for 120$ but BUT it takes out the seat behind me because it has to be bolted to the space where a person would sit behind me...is there any place where i can get that acura peice for a LOT cheeper than 220$ CDN or any

Take it back and tell them to fix it. All cars are required to have a lifetime warranty on the restraint system. You don't have to pay anything for them to fix it.

i called honda today and they said that was covered for 5 years or 100k
i thought dealer was lieing and so i called honda 1888# she had to check and she told me that, cause the winding/locking thing was a part..of some kind.

i think its bs, i would be dead if i get into a bad accident wearing it like it is, is that not safty gee i think it is.

I don't know about your dealer, but seatbelts have a lifetime warranty on them.
I just had a friend bring in her 1993 Corrola and they replaced the seatbelt for free. Contact other dealerships and see what they say. HTH Kerry

It's a bunch of crap if they charge you. My 89 prelude belt broke and they fixed it free. shouldn't cost anything.
