Default CTR WITH ROUGH IDLING

i just had a CTR motor swapped into my ek, when the car is warmed up it idles from 900 to 1500 several times until i press the gas and its back to normal. also when i shift from 1st to 2nd or 2nd to 3rd and put it on neutral, the car idles at 1500-2000 till i hit a complete stop and its back to normal. does anyone know why its idling rough like that? any info will help.

Hope it works very easy to do. The screws broke off mine FICV and I had to use parts from a h22, but it worked. Good luck.

Take your intake off and look right under your throttle body, Its actualy bolted to the throttle body. There are three bolts holding it to the throttle body they are right underneth it. I has a small coolant line connected to it on the right side facing the throttle body. Take a pic of your throttle body post it and I will show you.

Not sure if this is in the same place on a B16B, but on my D16Z6, the Idle Air Control Valve is located on the back of the intake manifold, next to the throttle body. It had 2 bolts holding it on, and it had this black cylinder-shaped plastic case thingy on it. There were also 2 hoses connected to it from the bottom.

To clean the IACV, I removed the 2 bolts, and then there was like this little circular mesh screen covered with this black sooty film. I sprayed come carb cleaner on a shop towel and wiped off the sooty film.

try putting your foot under the gas pedal and pull it up a little. Sounds like u have a throttle cable that is too tight.
