88 civic dx 4dr. questions
i might be acquiring an 88 civic dx automatic 4 dr. from a friend and i have a few questions. how difficult would it be to swap in a b-series vtec engine and switch from automatic to a manual tranny? would it even be worth a try? any help would be appreciated.
okay now these are the peeps I enjoy to help the ones that might join the rarer side us Sedans
ur in luck
I have done two swaps in a 4door automatic
it is a task but if u truly like to get dirt and know ur ride then this is the way to do it
some what easy if u know around EF's or Hondas to be general

ya, i see very few clean sedans and i wouldn't mind trying my hand at making a nice one. it'll probably be used as my track car becuase i have a 03 civic si for daily driving. so what do i need to know besides it's a task?
it can be done, with auto to manual conversion, it'll be a lot of work.
I love my beater 4 door

what do u want to know
just get a helms maunal or clinton book
to wire it correctly
and well the same cna be done for the swap harness if not someone can do it at a shop
as for the parts u are going to have to get......
pedal assembly (5speed crx or civic 88-91)
throttle cable (88-91 si-R or 90-93 integra I believe)
transmissoion cable (88-91 civic/crx)
bolt on kit( which ever u like Place racing, Hasport, etc...)
ur choice of swap w/ecu, axles, linkage
if I am missing somethign ask I probably forgot right off the top of my head but I think that is it
the wiring of the engine harness and reverse is the hard part
but the rest is a piece cake
