main relay buzzing please help!!!
i have been having the worst time for the past 5 months with my civic. (1991 honda Civic Si)
i swapped in a ZC in place of my D16 and after i got it running i needed to replace the gas tank due to a nice rot hole (c/o new england winter). after i got it back, i noticed the carpet was soaked, and it turned out it was coolant, and my heater core just crapped the bed. had to tear it out, and do new carpet. in the process the dash came off and all the connections were disconnected.
With the dash off i ran the car to clear the air out of the cooling system (when i refilled it) after i shut it off, i tried to restart it a short time later, and it ran for a half second, then died, and the main relay began to buzz.
i assumed it was jsut a connection that was not made, so when i reassembled it the relay was not buzzing, but the car still wouldnt start, and the fuel pump wouldnt turn on.
i bought a new main relay, plugged it in, and it started to click (not buzz) and the car still would not start.
Am i missing a connection, or a ground? does the relay have to be bolted to the metal post under the dash to ground that out too? The small black wire with the ring connector on it, what is that the ground for???
Please help me
