How hot is an Alpine suppose to get?

Default How hot is an Alpine suppose to get?

I was in my car listening to my cd deck for about 20 mins. and when i took the face plate the back felt kinda hot. Are they suppose to get this hot??

Yeah they put a warning in the manual about it getting hot, mine doesn't but I don't use the internal amp. Just make sure the fan has enough room and that it isn't blocked off by something.

he didn't say what model alpine he jhad how do you know it has a fan?&gt;

my alpine gets pretty hot too

The alpine that I had got hot enough to go into thermal protection for a couple minutes in the summer. Alpine head units get hotter then most.
