should this give me 20 whp?
ok i have a basically stock b16 in my 99ek,i want to get 20 more wheel hp and i was wondering if these boltons whould acheive this.

i think the only "major" power freeup there will be the removal of your cat when you put on the testpipe. maybe 10hp-ish from that. everything else is minor.

i dont think he asked if he should get this or would the amount of money speant could buy him a turbo kit.
the test pipe will free up around 10 like said and the rest MIGHT make up the other half, im guessing 15-18.

there is no way in hell you will get 10hp even at the crank by taking off the cat and replacing it with a testpipe, if you ask me it's a poormans dream. The only way I could see 10 hp if you cat is clogged and it fell apart year ago, and you are running boost, or spraying a heavy dose. You will be lucky to see 2hp difference.

The only way I think you can really get 20whp is by tunning,tunning,tunning. You can add all the crap you want ,but if it's not tunned, then thats just a shame ! ...... My .02
if you go turbo please tunne that dont just put a turbo and call it a day make sure it runns to the best of the turbos ability and engine

Believe me tuning won't really do crap until you get cams, internal work, or go FI. To get significant gains you need build the motor, or go FI, or spray.

I have a 93 2nd Gen B16a rated @ 168hp= (142.8 whp) & 115tq= (97.75 wtq) stock when they brand new. Anyway's my current setup is Aem Cai, Jdm Dc 4-1, Greddy Pe Exhaust, Hi-flow cat, Skunk2 P28 Ecu. Went to rage and to get some base run's and pulled 186hp= (158.1 whp) & 130tq=
(110.4 wtq), this were also with no ac or ps belts. So maybe u have a chance with your mods listed, good luck

i dont see it happening maybe like 5- 10 whp, if your going all-motor just expect to spend lots of money and not see a whole lotta gain. do some internal work- cams, valve train, high compression pistons and last but not least tuning. but dont just go boost because its cheaper and easier.
