Default Roll pin installation

So there's 400 million threads about getting the pin out (easy) how the HELL do you get it back in? I've tried the oh so details "line it up and tap it in slowly" - useless. I can't get the pin to go in at all.

get a bfh. (big ****** hammer) and line up the pin as best you can and pound it. It might take a few times but once its in... it will line itself up

hmmmm well I have a BFH, that's how I crushed my roll pin after I spent 4 hours trying to get it in and couldnt' get it to start. I've got to order a new roll pin I have a feeling I messed it up when I tried to take it out the first time.

squeeze it together with a pair of locking vise grips (whatever the hell you call them), then it should go in rather easily...

get a t-bar.....and remove the socket
those are the perfect diamter to punch that pin out, and to punch it back in....this is from personal experience after about 7-8 removals...
