Ok... I could use some help... Koni Red v. Yellow
I know this has been discussed alot but I still can't decide...
I could use some help from those of y'all who have tried my combination...
I have a 95 Accord EX 4dr. I've already purchased H&R OE springs. I'm ready to go for Koni's but am not certain if I should go with Reds or Yellows. Here's what I want in my ride. I want to lower the car but not by more than 1" or so. I'm told the H&R OE's will drop .5" but more like .75" or so after they settle. I would like to have a fairly soft ride, nothing harsh as I use the car for daily driving, including getting kids to school and daycare. I don't need adjustability to go firm for any kind of spirited driving so I doubt if I'd really ever go play with the Yellow's *****. I would consider the Yellow's lower perch setting for the additional .5" drop but have read that Red's have perch adjustments. I will be installing 17x7s and 215/45-17s at some time in the future. Koni's website says use Reds for stock springs, Yellow's if height is lowered. Do H&R OE qualify as stock? They are probably a little stiffer so the Yellow's softest setting, a little stiffer than stock, might combine to be too stiff.
Any help is appreciated

If u're gonna throw some 17" rims and u're gonna drop your car 1" its gonna look like
Trust me i had Eibach Prokits with my 17" rims and it was still a 4x4. If you're gonna spend $$$ on suspension get Ground Control coilovers with Kyb AGX if u're a daily driver and dont race, or Ground Controls with custom stiffer rates with Koni Yellows.
Oh btw, when i say race, i mean Autox or Road Road race, not street racing....

Perhaps I should go with the the Neuspeed/Yellows that allow a 20mm drop. I should then have about 1.5" total drop. I would prefer to not put a lot into the suspension other than springs and struts. I have no plans to race, autocross, anything like that. Just be able to run comfortable, not too stiff, lower for a better appearance with the 17s, better handling but not stiff but avoid rubbing if I'm carrying three kids.
If I were you, and wanting to put my kids in the car I would get 16" rims. They are more streetable, 17's you will feel every bump even with stock suspension. You will have better acceleration with 16's, you wont have to drop the car so far, and you can still get tons of good tires.
As for the struts, I would get Koni Yellows. I have them on my CRX and they are the best mod I have ever done to it, even better than the motor swap. They totally transformed my car. You really should think about investing in a rear sway bar too, they can really help a FWD car get rid of that pesky understeer.

Koni Yellow all the way. I have them with a set of custom rated GC coilovers and lover them. Ride like a dream. Not to stiff for my taste and handle like there is no tomarrow. Go with the yellow. You won't be disappointed.
