How to change brake pads?
You will want Brake cleaner and possibly the brake piston compression tool (or large C-clamp, personally I use channel locks
).
You can pick up a Chilton or Haynes manual that will help you, but I recomend a Helm/manufacturer manual because you'll never need to buy another manual again. http://www.helminc.com
Its very simple, I did it once with a scissor jack and adjustable wrench

Invest in the Helms. Best $60 (including shipping) you can spend. You can try compressing the pistons with channel locks, but be very carefull not to damage the piston face, edge, sides, or seals (use a thin piece of wood, or a rag folded a couple of times to protect it). Fingers may work, but $5-10 C clamp is what I use.
Note: When you compress the pistons, do it slowly, and keep checking the master cylinder resivoir. It can overflow, and coat everything with brake fluid, which takes paint off in <30 seconds. Turkey baster works well for sucking out the excess.
Overall, an easy job - go for it.
I did not need brake cleaner. Get the non-clorinated stuff (e.g. CRC) if you do use it. (Chlorinated chemicals = bad for you and the ozone).
