Yea the japanese model crx, chassis code ef8, had power windows and locks....U can come up on a pair of doors or door panels and switch everything over to ur rex(wiring is required), u can try http://hmotorsonline.com for this. Or i have seen a guy do it w/ some little motorized thingy, that turns the crank, and the switch mounts up on the dash where ever there are spacers....

Did the Sedan CIVIC EX have power windows optional?...

Didn't the Canadian special edition model have power windows? Check Ebay. As far as locks just get an alarm with keyless entry. $200 bucks tops and well worth it.

My 2 cents:

A small number of Canadian CRX's had power windows from factory as an option, both the SI and the Special Edition.

I have yet to see a set of oem doors, Canadian, USDM, or JDM, that actually came with power locks though. Aftermarket lock actuators are dirt cheap and can be hooked up to pretty much any alarm. Thats what i did.

What´s up with the JDM craze ? Why not use power windows from a European CRX , that way you don´t have to turn switches upside down to get them on the right side either.

That's funny because I went to the Dealer about two months back to purchase a window regulator for my rex, and the man asked me "power windows?" I asked him if CRX's even came with power windows. He said yes, the Si models do. Are they trying to make my car JDMyo or what?

unfortunately most *MOST* of the people who work at the dealerships know jack about Honda's. They just know how to work a computer and cash register.

Yo, I need a switch like that. My JDM windows have the controls on the right side. Could you get me that switch for my CRX??? That is not modified as I can see so that means the master switch is on the left side....the wright side.

power locks are easy to install, just takes time. I got some jdm swithces for the windows i'd sell, it's just that LHD power window switches on ebay go for waaay too much money.

As far as I can tell from looking around, no CRX's came with power locks, only power windows. However, the USDM Civic EX and LX both came with power locks, and the lock actuators from those screw right onto the CRX's door latch, into holes that are already there... Then all you have to do is wire in the Door lock control module that also came on the EX and LX and viola, factory honda door locks on your CRX. The only problem I've come up with so far is where to put the switch for the locks... I'm leaning towards puting it somewhere on the center console..

As for power windows, you can use the power regulator from an EX or LX and the tracks from the CRX's manual regulater to have bolt in power windows.. The holes are already in the CRX's doors for this, so there is no real fabrication needed. There is a pretty thorough write-up somewhere around here that describes this process... I followed it and it worked great. Now all I have to do is figure out if I want to spend crazy cash on them fancy LHD switches or use something else that won't be quite as cool, but would cost far less..

The switches in the post above are from SPAL. They are aftermarket and come with an internal light. That's what I'm using.
