i need to know which wire to use on a 2000 civic ex automatic.

red wire-power source- if u want to go ghetto, strip the end of the wire a good bit, take out a fuse that gets power only when the car is turned on, and wrap the wire around one tab on it a good bit, then stick it back in its appropriate place in the fuse box
black wire-ground- strip the end of the wire a good bit, find a bolt going into metal nearby, take out the bolt, wrap the wire around the bolt, reinstall the bolt
3rd wire (usually purple)- tap this into the o2 sensor wire, yours is a 2000 so im not sure which wire on the o2 you use, us EFers only have 1 wire o2s

 

If I remember correctly the white wire is the signal wire for the 4 wire o2's but don't take my word for it search and you will find the answer. And please use wire taps and ground loops, no need to make the install look like poo.
