Greddy is Ti but is mandrel bent (as is Kakimoto).
I personally prefer the cobbled together Ti piping used by Amuse, ARC and K*Works.

Why? Wouldn't a mandrel bent system be stronger than numerous pieces welded together?

a properly welded metal is just as strong or stronger than the original (straight piece)

I dunno about that; however, I have been told the piping for the (weldedl) Ti tubing is from a different type of alloy (which cannot be mandrel bent).
Moreover, the exquisite welding makes them look like artisan pieces IMO - even though you won't be able to see it most of the time

wow i had a complete lapse there..
what i meant to say is that jdm bend will flow better than crush bent... in other words if mandrel bending is not an option for whatever reason, rather than crush bending at local muffler shop, cutting and welding sections to create a psuedo-mandrel setup (jdm bend) is a better option.
sorry, saying that will flow better than a mandrel was just plain dumb.

Obviously, HRC prefers the cobbled together piping too

That's the new RC211V exhaust used by the Repsol-Honda team; I don't see any mandrel bends...

Shane,
Have pics of the K*Works?
I've never seen a pic of an ARC Ti exhaust on an EK hatch. But from the website they make one for it.

because i think they are too thin. bending metal will stretch a bit, so it would be stronget to just weld a bunch of small pieces together.

Shane this is what I have been told also. I asked a couple places about it, they said the mandrel bent Ti exhausts have less Ti in the alloy mix, whereas the sectioned pieces are more pure Ti.
By the way, I LOVE MY AMUSE, thanks Shane! Not only is it lighter by 5lbs it was $300 cheaper than the Kakimoto exhaust. Only lighter and cheaper, because it doesn't have a pre-silencer, just piping into the canister.
