Default EM2 Throttle body replacement

I've gotten kinda tired of dealing with my dealership concerning this idling issue that I have in my 2001 EM2 Civic. They've been trying to solve it for months and haven't found the problem....then I take it to a dealership near work and they immidiately tell me it's the TPS and I should change out the throttle body.

Question: Should I go through my dealer who whenever I get my car back it seems to have something else wrong with it or should I just get the damn TB myself and change it? My dealer can probably do it under warranty since there's a working history on the car's problem but I'm just so tired of dealing with them.

Any suggestions?

It's probably better to let them do it. If you do it, you are going to have to buy the throttle body from Honda (which is probably expensive) and won't be covered under warranty.

ugg..I was hoping I might find a used one somewhere. My cars parts warranty is done anyway (sorry, forgot to mention that) so the only way to even get this done as a warranty repair is to bring it to my dealership.

Oh hell no. Never bring your car to the Honda stealer after your warranty is done. Try and fine one used (if you can) and swap it out yourself (if that's the problem). You can try http://www.slhondaparts.com and check how much a new one runs.

16400-PLR-A01 BODY ASSY., THROTTLE (GY78A) $142.38

not bad at all. thanks for the link! As far as I know the Throttle Positioning Sensor is incorporated into the TB so the only way to change it out is to replace the whole thing....hope it works, I'm so tired of the idle dying and the bad launches.

Have you checked your IACV or for any vaccum leaks?

Ya..the IAC was replaced already but it didn't work...They claimed to have checked for leaks.
