S1 tranny/Fluidyne ? please help
Can a S1 cable tranny support 230 whp?
I'm thinking about buying a fluidyne radiator for my 88 hatch.
I want the 90-93 teg one. I think it might be too much cooling in the winter.
It's usually in the 30's during night where i live and on occasion 20's during winter.
Too much cooling=no vtec
What's you're opinions on this?

huh
two different things in one post
first off vtec will still work if u get something like a vafc
or once the car gets to normal temp
I have one and it does stay cooler then normal temp and I still get the same power
but I get other cooling junk also not just the fluidyne radiator
second question the tranny yeah should hold why wouldn't it
seen them put through turbos pulling 400 plus whp
don't know if it can handle the mis shifting or grinding u put it through

Are you not allowed to run a thermostat? I had that same problem. My Mom found one in my car and grounded me until I turn 30.
So, can't you get a hotter thermostat. Doesn't Spoon sell one? If that radiator is going to over-cool, why do you want it?

It takes forever to reach operating temp with no t-stat from what i hear.
I would like to take it easy on the car since it's so hot, but i can't.
So I need the fluidyne because it's always 105-110 here.
In the winter though it think it may be a problem.
I have the stock 88 dx radiator now. A dual core fluidyne is a huge cooling upgrade imo.
