F22 sohc non vtec... Should I put a F22 sohc vtec head on?
I recently acquired a f22 vtec head.
I was wondering what kinda power gains/etc would it make?
Yes i am searching, and looking around the web.
its hard to just find solid numbers.

according to http://www.accordinglydone.com...ies=F
the most difference will be about 10hp and 8 ft/lb of torque, which will equate to like maybe 5 hp and 5 trq at the wheels
i would say if you have the head for free, you have the ecu for free, and have too much time on you hands then do it,
i think a good way would be to mill the head a **** load to bring your compression up fromthe stock 8.8, but doesn't seem worth it to me,
also look into putting a h23 head on there, i didcuss this in my thread, very doable

Ill consider the h23 idea.
let me read into it.
regarding your link...
So the best bet would be the F22B head swap...
I didnt know it was DOHC? is it vtec?

wo wo don't get your motors confused,
the "f22b" is the jdm motor that came in the preludes and was a dohc non vtec,
the f22b2 b1 a1 ax are all sohc motors,
if you find a f22b1 head which is the sohc vtec then you can swap that on.
