I have a Type R flywheel out of a 2000 JDM Type R. I assume it has around 40-45k miles. It has no visible hot spots so it can be used without resurfacing.

I take excellent care of my flywheels

 

if it's off a jdm motor, does that mean it will have problems with a usdm starter?

I've only used it with the JDM starter so I really don't know. Maybe somebody else can help out..

 

yeh, all I know is that jdm companies that make flywheels usually have issues with the teeth not matching up too well with usdm starters...for example Jun flywheels.

 

Right now I'm using a non-JDM flywheel with a JDM starter and having no grinding issues. I guess the problem doesn't work both ways.
