I was really bored and I was thinking can you use automotive primer then house paint then automotive clear coat to paint a car??

why u want to do that... cheap? shiet.. i spray my teg in my own garage just need a compressor, spray gun and $400 worth of ppg paint

i remember some girl painted her car with house paint on some mtv show. turned out "well" i guess, but can't see good detail, it's on tv.

 

House paint = Latex
Automotive paint = acrylic or urethane

Different base paints are NOT COMPATIBLE.
Youll end up like painting it with shrink paint that will not dry!
