okay. i don't have a picture, but i've drawn a crude example:

now, normally i'm used to a fitting held on by a pin w/ a cotter pin through it to attatch it to the pedal. the rod from the clutch master cylinder threads into it and there are is a nut you tighten against it to keep it from moving.
MY integra has THIS contraption. it's brass colored metal. i can't see the backside, but it feels like rubber inside...? it has a nut that i can't break loose. it's also held on by a cotter pin... and fits well, so it must be honda/acura.. but i've never seen one like this before. anyway, is there a secret to adjusting them? i can't get the nut to break loose AT ALL! i need HELP!!
i didn't want to keep messing with it and end up breaking something.. so i didn't force it. anyone know what's up with this thing??? if i try to turn the nut, the rod from the master cylinder turns too.. but feels rubbery like there is some resistance.
i'm lost.

that is EXACTLY it. i am unable to move the the nut on the back. i'm assuming it adjusts the same as the civics? meaning: loosen nut, adjust rod, tighten nut? only, when i turn the nut, the WHOLE rod turns from the master cylinder. i've even tried clamping the rod with vise grips (close enough to the nut so as not to put marks on a part that goes INTO the master cylinder) and STILL could not get it to budge.
off subject: where do you guys find pictures as shown above? they are infinitely helpful in explaining problems. thanks.
