Default Those Using JUN 2 Intake Cam

Hey guys, i'm currently stuck on what next to do to my car. I have a 2000 Type R bone stock except for an AEM Cold Air Intake at the moment. But in the next month my full SMS exhaust setup will be coming in, header, cat and exhaust. But now I want to upgrade the cams slighty and have seen and talked to a few using the JUN 2 Intake camshaft. What are your guys thoughts on this setup? I have heard this cam is right at the maximum lift for the ITR springs, would it be recommended to upgrade them, maybe to Portflow or would stock do the job? I use the car daily and sometimes a lot of highway driving.

I am going to begin researching on here about some Toda A's and also Skunk2 Cams also,so i'm not yet familiar with these cams yet. Would one of these choices be a better choice in the end with my SMSP setup??

if your looking for a nice gain i believe a jun2 intake cam, would be pretty dope, get a hondata and tune it should be perfect for your style of driving not 2 aggressive but u should net around 15-20 whp tuned

15-20 whp? Is that accurate? I thought Skunk stage 2 or Toda B's only gave about that much with tuning? I've thought about the Jun II intake cam as a possible upgrade in a few years, but can't seem to find much useful info in searches. I wish i had something to contribute, but i can only say i'm also interested in learning more as well. There was a great cam test done a while back, but i couldn't get any of the dyno graphs to come up, just red x's maybe because it's from so long ago.

here is a dyno plot with one of my old motors from a few years ago...
here's the mods..
b18c5, all stock, just added portflow inner valve springs
DC jdm 4-1 ceramic header w/ 2.25" testpipe and STOCK ITR exhaust
AEM cam gears, intake and fuel pressure regulator
Apexi V-AFC w/ obd1 p28 skunk2 ecu

one time i used the toda spec A cams, and the other time i used jun2 intake cam and ITR exhaust cam. the results surprised me, too. i was convinced that spec A's were the ONLY way to go... but i was proved wrong by myself on the dyno thanks to the jun2 intake cam.

oh, and FYI... i have seen jun cams break before. on 3 separate occasions, and all 3 times, the driver was going 9000+rpms. and i have NEVER seen a toda cam break. just something for you to think about before you decide.
