I am about to take a trip from Oklahoma to South Carolina, I plan on towing my Busa with my hatch ( b16 VX ). I cant find any real numbers on the towing capacity I just want to know if anyone here has towed a bike with thier Civic for an extended period of time.

I've been looking for some good info on my civic for towing so I can trailer my autocross stuff. There's alot of civics, crx's and s2000s that I see towing. What I've found is that it is rated for a 200lb tounge weight and 1200 (some say 2000) max load. This is from the aftermarket hitch manufacturers, since honda would never give a tow rating for a civic since some idiots would probaly try to hook up a motor home to it and come in for a warrantee claim. Your car should pull the bike no prob, depending on the weight of the trailer.

If anyone has any other info on trailering, please share. I don't know what's involved with the wiring and stuff. Please don't leave comments like 'don't do it, it's a civic, blah, blah, blah,' like the last thread I asked this question in. He's looking to tow a sport bike, and I just want to do 4 tires and some tools. It'd be like carrying a few big guys in your car.

if anything, the springs will sag in back, im sure youve seen it on pickups plently. and if the trailer is fairly small, im sure you won't have too big of a problem. your only towing 1 bike, so i don't think its too big a problem, even tho its a fairly small car. I could be wrong tho.
