Default Installing o2 sensors on a 1g b16a

I'm planning to replace my oxygen sensors on my b16a because I can't pass emissions. I'm planning to get a universal bosch/ngk replacement without the plug. So when I replace them do I just use the existing plug then cut/splice/connect the wire from the new oxygen sensors onto it? TIA

That is what I did when I replaced the sensors on my b16a. I just bought two universal one wire O2 sensors and cut and spliced the existing plugs to the new sensors.
