Default Someone needs to stop MASE from destroying his customers cars!

Incident Details

Time: 1 am wednesday mourning (9 hours before dyno appointment)
Location: Gainesville, FL

Details:
Mase insisted that we street tune late at night and lured me out to a deserted 5 mile stretch of road in the middle of nowhere to street tune my car. He tried to convince me that he preferred the time and location because the lack of sun eliminated the glare on the laptop and the location eliminated the possibility of running over any children.
....... I suspected something was afoul; MASE must be trying to cover his tracks by using this dark secluded street to commit some serious crime and keep my screams from earshot.

After 30 minutes of adjusting my a/f and timing from 3rd and 4th gear pulls, my fears would soon be realized. He mentioned that my car was fully tuned and wanted me to test my ability to feather the throttle in 2nd gear. I slipped into 2nd gear and blipped the throttle and found an overabundance of excess torque causing me to instantaneously bounce off the rev limiter and spin both of my bfg 225 drag radials viciously.

I slowed and came to a stop and made a rolling right hand turn and heard a snap.
Mase caught me off guard; rather than directly grenading my engine through excess timing he decided to tune in the most amount of reliable torque from my engine and allow me to destroy my own car! Oh, the deception!

Solid motor mounts all around , bfg drag 225 radials, rolling 2nd gear pull from 40 mph ,and too much torque.....

The bearings and internals were all chewed up ..... thank god for lifetime axles at Autozone!

Mase

p.s. .... mase , email me those datalogs sometime when you get a chance... thanks.

Mase had his girlfriend pick us up , and I had AAA tow the car back to the apartment the next mourning ... no big deal....

... we actually laughed about it, you have to expect things to break with this hobby.

I need some coilovers badly ..... My car sits too high, which compounds the problem .... Swapped the rear lower control arm, and front spindle from a gsr onto this civic to upgrade the Front calipers and rotor and convert to all disc... now the car sits 1/2 to 1" higher than stock....

torque is king on the street. IMO. Why do u think a H22A stomps the hell out of an ITR engine? Its not Mase's fault u dont have axles that can withstand the abuse your putting it through. Get some good axles, and go again.

you completely missed the underlying sarcasim in this post... he is not upset with MASE, he is happy his car is tuned so well that he had enough tourque to snap an axel.

Mase is out of control. After I got my tune from him, I was afraid for my cars safety. Next thing I know, gator axles are on the way, traction bars, etc.

He turns them into freaking monsters...
