Default rod bolt tqing method

hey guys,

what method do you guys like better when tightening rod bolts. Personally I was thinking bolt stretch is the way to go, but some are telling me just slap it on with a tq wrench and call it a day. question is what do you real builders use,

I like measuring fastener stretch wherever possible. It's the most accurate way to do it. The one time I've tested the accuracy of using the specified lube and torque values, the torque-to-yield method came up a little short in stretching the fastener.
