if your R is stock, you wont see any real improvement.
I disagree...you can smooth out your curve which means more linear power. Although the gains wouldn't be huge, I'd imagine you could see a 3-4ish whp increase at peak.

If you have at least at least 2 of the following it will add anywhere between 5-15hp: intake, header, exhaust, cams, supercharger, hi-flow cat, testpipe, higher compression pistons. The VAFC is still on special on our site for $299.99 here: http://www.diabloautosports.com/specials.php Dyno tuning is required for best results.

btw, 3-4 whp = crap...its not an improvement! You'd get more bang for your dollar taking that 300 and getting higher lift cams!!!
Is that all you read? Did you notice...LINEAR POWER?

BTW, what f'in cams do you buy for $300? Wal-Mart or Target?

DV- who enjoys arguing with wetodds who are only concerned with the peak number

shipping is $6 anywhere in the US, in stock. for the $6 shipping just put in your comment box on our order page that you are honda-tech member and shipping will be $6. This is our everyday price, not a groupbuy :D

Here's something I was wondering...off of the Hondata site:

The VTEC changeover point can be set anywhere within reason. The Hondata method of setting the VTEC point is better than any other piggyback computer. Why? Hondas have two fuel and two ignition maps (***see the tech section****). With add on VTEC controllers, the camshaft is forced to switch while running on the wrong fueling and ignition tables. This can cause fuel to be as far as 10% out and ignition to be retarded up to 6 degrees. Some VTEC controllers allow a coarse correction for fuelling, none allow correction for ignition advance. The best method is to switch the maps at the same time the camshaft is changed. This is how Hondata modified ecus function.

Is this just reffering to the split second the cams change before the maps switch on a stock ECU? Seems like it's not that big of a deal. Sorry if I'm ig'nant.

It's just a groupbuy that has lasted for about a year and a half now, that's our normal price.

How long does shipping usually take from either of these companies? I was planning on getting one after a few more mods, but I may as well buy it now.

Question about the VAFC. I posted before that since I've reset my ECU I feel less power from 5-6k rpms. Could I make the proper adjustments with this to correct this problem?

Try a search maybe?...

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=91691

This guy made some nice numbers with a V-AFC on an otherwise stock ITR. +5-7HP from 7500rpm and up...

Just FYI, Titan motorsports is very good. I had my clutch done there last week and was very impressed with their service and staff. Just my $.02
