Default FS: Bilstein Sports sport shocks SP ITR Bay Area

UPDATE: PICS!! and Lowered Price!! Should I resize the pics?

$260 shipped, $230 picked up firm, lowest price, cheap as dirt!!!!!!!!!! I am including EVERYTHING!!!! Bumpstops, dustboots, tophats, everything. Remember, the front dustboots are TSX dustboots, they are MONEY, you should see these in person. Also, the front tophat bushings are the INSANELY STIFFER THAN POLYURETHANE Type-R ones!!!!!! Going once, going twice... Going on ebay soon

Used for roughly 10,000 miles, 6 months. These are the Bilstein Sport shocks for the Type-R which can be used on all model integras with the ITR rear lower control arms. The shocks have bumpstops. These are in excellent condition. Local people can check them out in person, just IM me. I'm located in San Mateo county, Bay Area.

If you guys need vouch info check out my buyer/seller rating on http://www.team-integra.net or if you're not a member there check out my ebay feedback, user ID opeth13.

These next three pictures are the pictures from the ebay listing I won these from. These pictures are prettier than the ones I took and some people just need to see them all pretty to appreciate them. I am including everything seen in the pictures, minus the shoe

This is an exact cut and paste of the ebay ad description from the guy I bought it from:
""For sale are a set of Bilstein sport upgrade shocks for an Acura Integra type R. I used these shocks for about 6 months on a GSR with type R rear lower control arms and then got a deal on Mugen coilovers. The shocks are scratched from normal use but are in excellent condition. Bilsteins last forever and are very stiff. I think these would make good autocross shocks because of the high pressure gas charge. The spring perches are adjustable by about 25 mm. Included are H&R sport springs and the top hats. The front strut rod bushings are the stiffer type R ones and the front dust covers are brand new from a 2004 TSX.""

The guy never sent me the springs. I tested the shocks by compressing them, holding them fully vertical, and pressing them into the ground not any further than the bumpstop. They all have consistent compression and rebound, and there are no leaks what-so-ever. I could barely get the front shocks to compress, and I weigh 220 lbs . I was actually going to keep these and use them myself, thats why I never updated this for sale post. But now I've decided to keep my Koni Yellows and spend the money for Ground Controls. I will send more pictures to anyone who wants me to take a specific picture of a part of the shock.

so are you including the top hats and dust covers or not?

I am not keeping anything, I'm giving it all to the purchaser.

p.s. I edited the original post and took out the incorrect statements.

So, I'm just wondering, why doesn't anyone seem interested? These shocks are super duper.

Not to threadcrap, and please dont take this the wrong way, but since you asked,

1) because you bought the shocks from a 3rd party, used, unknown how for what you think might be 10k miles. that could be an eternity on shocks, if you abuse them.

2) because you bought them so you could take a part of them you wanted, and now want to sell them incomplete. if you could have used your stock shocks upper hats/bumpstops, why didnt you? the bilsteins come with nice bumpstops.

3) it just seems like you went through a lot of trouble for something so "easy" you could have used from your stock shocks. perhaps thats people are straying away.

imo, perhaps if you answered some of these questions, perhaps some itr owners wouldnt mind picking it up.

You are not "threadcrapping" at all, this is exactly why I asked, I wanted some input from someone as to what would be swaying people from the purchase.

1) because you bought the shocks from a 3rd party, used, unknown how for what you think might be 10k miles. that could be an eternity on shocks, if you abuse them.

They were used with H&R sports and with the bumpstops installed. The H&R sports can be seen in the pictures provided by the third party. Although the true mileage can't be known for sure, it is good to know that they were used with mild springs with a bumpstop in place. Just to add, the Bilsteins I am selling here are in MINT condition compared to the Koni's I opted to use intead. I wish the Koni autcion was still online, so I could show you the listing. One of the front shocks had a stuck adjuster, and I had to ask CRX Lee how to fix it. He sent me some instructions, saying if his tips didn't work, I'd have to buy another one or have it rebuilt. This doesn't have to do anything with the Bilsteins, but if my Konis survived the abuse they had seen, ( and the seller told me they had been used for a bit over a year and 40,000 miles) than these Bilsteins seem unscathed.

2) because you bought them so you could take a part of them you wanted, and now want to sell them incomplete. if you could have used your stock shocks upper hats/bumpstops, why didnt you? the bilsteins come with nice bumpstops.

I am now officially selling everything. I am not keeping the PIMP TSX dustboots or the PIMPER ITR bushings.

3) it just seems like you went through a lot of trouble for something so "easy" you could have used from your stock shocks. perhaps thats people are straying away.

I think I explained most of this in number two. I had originally won an auction on ebay for Koni Yellows. I paid for the item and while I was waiting for the Koni's to arrive, on impulse I won another auction for Bilstein Sports that same week. The ad for the Koni's mentioned one of the shocks was "slow to rebound" so I was doubtful, and I bought the Bislteins just in case the Koni's were messed up, which one of them was.

The Bilsteins even come with the front brake bracket installed. They are incredibly beefy, by this I mean if you hold a Koni yellow and a Bilstein you will immediately notice the differences in build design and contruction. If you shopped around, you'd see that my price is very reasonable. You (w@@t w@@t) wrote in my other thread in the ITR forums that these shocks are $440 plus shipping on shox.com, my price is half of that (thanks for the bump btw ). I will take the shocks back and return the buyer the money if there is anything wrong with the shocks. I encourage local people to set up a meeting time and place with me so they can check them out in person. My pictures are very unnappealing to the eye, and I'm wondering if that has a lot to do with it. This shouldn't be more complicated than necessary. The shock pistons are shiny and clean.

Please keep in mind that this is a used item, and the price reflects this.

If anyone has any other questions or suggestions please let me hear 'em.

Read some of my ebay feedback. I am not a shady person, if anything, I give my buyers too much information.
http://feedback.ebay.com/ws1/e...ms=25

I don't know how Bilsteins mount to ITR's, but it seems they don't come with mounting hardware even when purchased new, instead the stock mounting hardware is reused. I know for the Koni Yellows I had to buy a mounting kit for $20 shipped from Koni (Lee) because the sellers hadn't sent me everything and the Koni piston threads at the top of the shock are wider than the stock integ shock hardware (nuts and bolts). Other shocks which are the same diameter don't come with mounting hardware. I am saying this because the Bilsteins I'm selling don't come with identical washers on the two rear shocks. You can see which two are different by looking at the pictures. Once again, most sellers wouldn't disclose this information, the guy who sold it to me didn't disclose this information, but I'm an honest guy.

I really believe that the Bilsteins, when purchased new, don't come with mounting hardware, as the ITR owners would reuse the stock nuts and bolts, which is the case with most new shocks, except Koni's.

Bump for nice shocks, I already have them in my car, otherwise I'd make an offer. Many sports cars use Bilstein, like the new Lotus Elise.

I could be wrong, but I believe you can buy the inner bushings for the top hats for a couple bucks each, ITR or not.

Maybe the low interest is partly b/c they're not adjustable like Konis. Regardless, if you match them with the right spring rates they're great shocks. You can get them revalved for about $55 each at Bilstein.

Thanks for the bump. Another factor that make the Bilsteins more desireable than the Koni's is that the Bilsteins cost half as much to revalve, at least so it seems. I have spoken wit Bilstein reps and they also quoted me $55 a shock plus shipping for a revalve. BUMP!
