I installed a tach on a civic dx and there is already a wire for the tach up in rhe cluster. It is blue and when it reaches the cluster it just stops. A civic si or crx cluster will bolt in and plug in without any problems. As for the four door, It looks like it will go in but I have never taken one out of a four door.

Yes you are correct. Any 90/91 cluster will fit into your car CRX/Hatch/4dr. I have one from a 4dr auto (mines a 5 speed) and it works fine. and it was plug and play. Only thing is I was told that I need to switch a wire around, because the 4dr cluster I have, seatbelt light keeps flashing. I am used to it now and I am looking for one from a CRX/Civic 5 speed. But to answer your question, YES they do fit.

Heres a pics of mines if you can see it. This is from a few months ago. Notice the "PRND12" auto thingy. I doesn't bother me anymore. They seat belt light is still annoying, but I can always take the bulb out. They seat belts work fine.
