problem with new tires on 97 gs-r mesh wheels
i just had a new set of hankook ventus HR2's installed on my stock 97 gs-r mesh wheels. 205/50/15
tire direction is correct on all tires, and i have 35psi in the fronts and 33 in the rears (using a digital tire guage for accuracy) i also had an alighment done, so the car drives straight as an arrow without pulling to either side.
heres the strange part...
i get the usual tire noise when driving in a straight line. however whenever i make a right turn the noise increases quite a bit and it take a bit of effort to turn. not like tugging at the wheel, but it's not exacrtly smooth.
now, when i make a left turn, it's virtually dead silent. no noise coming from the tires and very very easy to turn the wheel
does this sound like a familiar problem to anyone?

This could be your CV joint. They usually only go bad when the boot gets damaged and dirt/grime get there...
Jack your car up, and check to see if oen the the rubber boots on the axel is bad...
ALSO, check to see if your lug nuts are tightened up properly... because, that can also have this effect.
good luck man!

yes check your lock nuts you might have the ones on your right tire are loose
those guys at the tire shop don't care if your tire fall off

Yea..that was happening to me once...day after i had the tire mounted/balanced..couldn't figure out what was wrong, lug nuts were all tightening to spec and everything...
went back to school the day after that [300 miles away] was on the highway, and the sidewall of my tire litterally shredded and disappeared, tire flew off, dented my rear passenger fender, scraped the paint, and then rolled past me as my rim grinded into the street at 65 miles an hour...
get that checked ASAP

post the specs from the alignment. whats the cars history? any accidents? you might try rotating the tires front to back and torque them to spec. how well do the wheels turn left to right when the car standing still?
