Default Not getting as many miles on a full tank

for some reason im only getting about 250 miles on a full tank of gas..i have a 99 gsr..2 months ago i got about 300..and both with normal driving..vtec once in a while..spark plugs wire dist cap and rotor were changed 4 months ago and fluids were flushed..what could it be..i tried injector cleaner..could it be the fuel filter..since ive owned the car ive never changed that..but i wouldnt think the fuel filter wouldnt have me losing that many miles..i notice everytime i push it, the fuel goes down quickly..itll move 1/8 of a full tank from just drivin 15 miles

it can be fuel filter, air filter, alignment, more weight in the car now aka junk in the trunk.

diffrent type of gasoline your using.. the fuel meter always has the biggest drop after you fill up , the first drop is the largest due to how it is measured.

Air filter, Quality of gas, oil change, usually not the case but if the cat is getting clogged it can hurt your gas mileage but would probably hurt it more than you are explaining.

dang, i usually get 350-370 or even more miles on about 11 gallons, VTEC almost every day, and mine is a 94 w/ 171K miles on it. Just do a full tune up.

I'm experiencing the same dilemma. I've replaced oem plugs/wires/rotor/cap/fuel filter/o2 sensor/tw sensor still has not cured my problem. Like you I can see the needle go down very quickly even when i'm baby footing it esp from a light. I'm avg 240-250 mpg. Two months ago I was avg 340-360 mpg. When I fill up its still my usual 11 ish gallons. I have a 93 gsr with 185k. Keep me updated if you solve your problem.

my DA is in the low 200mpg as well,
does anyone know if a very bad clutch can make this happen?

my clutch has about a month left on it. its at a point where it slips very easily, and pretty hard to drive... teh gay, but will get a new clutch soon

I went from 300 miles on 10 gallons to 250 on 10. I think it has to do with this bootleg intake/filter combo I've gotta run until I can get my K&N filter. You should look into replacing the filter.

Let's put it this way I fill up my tank at least 2 - 3 time a week and I have a check engine light that the ECU is throwing a Code P1457 (Fail Emission) from last April that freeken Acura can't get rid of.

A new air filter makes a huge difference. I just recently installed a K&N cone filter in place of the stock air filter and I get roughly 325-340 miles off 9-10 gallons. I run the car hard and that mileage includes at least two trips to the triple digit zones (not to mention hard cornering which also impairs fuel economy).

I'd love to get 370 like some of you. You must be driving her on the orange fuel for miles!

700+ miles/week

My record is 408 miles on a tank, I think it was still took less than 12 gallons to fill up.

My record mpg is 36.x

damn. i get almost exactly 200 miles/tank but that's mostly city driving. but even all-freeway, i barely get more than 300/tank. my air filter is pretty new, perhaps i should replace the fuel filter like mentioned above?

I get around 280 miles per gallon. I've got a turbo GSR running pretty rich. Thats combining street/highway. I think its pretty good considering I love to hit full boost

i get about 350-370 miles per tank... i drive it till the light comes on... I never drive with a/c on, if I even use my a/c its only when i'm sitting somewhere for a long period of time... like waiting on my girlfriend or somethin... its hot here in texas, especially with this black interior =P. Are you guys using your A/C?

hell yeah I use my A/C, it's not only hot here it's super-humid. I don't use it during my morning commute (low 70's in the morning) or if I'm out late at night unless it's unbearably humid, but in the afternoon and early evening, A/C's gotta be on. I hate it because with my 7.5 lb flywheel, revs drop super-fast between shifts.
