i have an ls/vtec engine. it has a b18a1 block w/ itr pistons, a b17 head and intake manifold, vtec controller, skunk2 cam gears, and was planning a type r valve train but im not sure about about the camshafts. i was told from a very reputable person that i should keep the b17 exhaust cam and get a ctr intake cam (because those are the largest that honda makes) but when i talked to a honda technician from which i bought a part from he told me i should get rid of both of the p30 cams and replace both w/ p72 or ctr cams, but regardless he told me i didnt want either of the p30 cams??? which is it or which is not??? thanks.

 

If possible try to locate a CTR ex. cam or by a set of cams ex. TODA, JUN, Skunk 2's then you'll some really good cams
