Default What are some good Headlights?

Hey I want to upgrade to some black projectors, and I'm seeing two different types...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...33710 some "JDM" ones
or
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...33710
some "Black Clear Projectors"

Does anyone have some that they can vouch for the visibility? I'm also looking to get some black corners as well. Thanks, lemme know.

yeah screw rice just put some of jdm rice on your car. Good Idea. JDM non preformance parts are no different than rice.

Just get what you want do. They are all going to have problems with the bulbs. I had some on a 93 coupe civic. The bulbs would blow every month or so. The would also take some water in. I had to take them apart and seal them. They are pretty much junk or I might have had a bad batch who knows.

If it ain't broke, dont fix it.

I like the stock lights. The only bad thing is, they're 15 years old and the glass is a little gray-ish.

I thought JDM headlights, with the full housing dual beam bulb setup, were quite an improvement for light output? Can anyone confirm this or are they about the same?

Worse.

JDM is Right Hand Drive and the housing is just as plastic as cheap *** projectors.

EDM is tha shizznitzz y0! We get glass housings.
The lights are pretty much the same. It's just a cosmetinc change to make the hood clear the B16 engine.

BTW...I have black projectors now. It took me the better part of 2 hours to get them to fit nicely. They don't exactly produce more light, but a nicer pattern. More focussed and clearer.

I've got a pair like your first ebay link.

I've got a black crx, and think they look very good during the day. At night, well, I try not to drive the crx then.

But I've got a set of HIDs from xenondepot on as well, and the light's better than stock. Never had just the projectors on there w/out HIDs, so don't know a direct comparison w/oem bulbs, but like someone said, the pattern is more focused with them.

Also have black corners; the whole setup looks much cleaner than stock on a black car. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

the only way a projector housing is going to help you is if you have a HID kit. otherwise stock housings are as good as any.

I have the black projectors. I got them about 2 years ago when they first came out and they are awesome. I have had no problems with blowing bulbs. They use the stock bulbs and connectors. Like seti said they don't really produce more light but a better patteren. I noticed a big improvment over my stock lights. Just my input. do what you like. If I had to choose a set of stock headlights I would choose either the EDM VT headlights or EDM 1.6i 16v single bulb headlights.

get a set of those projectors you are looking at. remove the projector that comes in there. get an audi/bmw/whatever size fits, HID projector. install that. there you go.

i concur stock headligts are the ****!!!!!!!!!!!

dont waste your hard earned money on something that will only leave a whole in your wallet and you will grow to dislike in a few months.. instead invest it your motor so when a guy with all that rice pulls up next to you you just smoke em and make him feel retarded for spending it on headlights instead of engine mods.

thats my .02

Why not instead of critisizing him on his decision: answer his question.

I have a set of black projectors and side markers that I got on ebay and I am very satisified. I got them from FairladyX, and they came as a matching set, so they marry up very nicely.

I am very happy... they only leak in very hard rains, and dont get all yellowed because they drain well. I could always just seal them with some silicone but I am to lazy.

I personally like your first choice better, but, look into the ones from the seller that I got... they are nice. They were just black projectors, no HID. But, they are still better than stock.

Align them properly and they beat the hel lout of stockies. Add some higgh quality bulbs and you have a rolling lighthouse on your hands.
My stockies don't produce that amount of light even with my (very) expensive Philips/PIAA bulbs. And because they're focussed, they light up the road...and not blind the poor bastard that is coming towards you.

For a purely cosmetic mod, I say leave them. They don't fit as nicely as stock. No doubt about it.
