mirrors
So I've been wanting to get these Vision mirrors from JHP ($290)...

and I saw these sportbike mirrors from http://www.lockhartphillipsusa.com
CHICANE MIRRORS $99.95 in real carbon
Formula Race $59.95
Qualifier Mirror $29.95 in "carbon look"
F-1 Mirror $29.95 in "carbon look"
The only question is where to get those plates that cover the spot where the stock mirror is mounted. I'm sure you could make your own but...
Anyway just thought I'd throw this out there to show people a lower-priced alternative

Just so you guys are clear I'm not really interested in your opinion of their appearance. The point of this post was more like "Hey the Vision ones are $290 but you can buy the same thing for $30".
Only DV is allowed to talk **** in this thread. Where u at yo?I'm curious what u think about these. I have mixed feelings. I do like the spoon mirrors a lot and thats what I currently have, but everyone has those now and these are kinda different.

i never understood why people like these mirrors..... no function and fugly
but if youre set on getting them, i wouldnt go the cheap route and get "fake/knockoff/look-a-like" ones. get the real deal, who knows, they might have a little more visibility than the others.

it's funny how everyone hates on it but then says how clean this car is

anywho I've got some of the phillips f/s never used in full carbon with the 2 bolt option another 20 bux if your interested, Im going with different versions since the mirrors sit low on the Sol
those plates can easily be made from acryllic, abs or by cutting off your stockers and fiberglassing over them like performance factories race cars.

I never meant that they were exactly the same, obviously the Lockhart Phillips mirrors aren't "Hella JDM yo" so maybe the tiiiiiite bois won't holla atchu, but I was just saying they look basically the same so you can get the same look for cheaper.
Of course if you put on Lockhart Phillips and then tell someone they are vision, you will instantly be struck down by the almighty god of unjockable JDM credibility yo

Sorry I guess I should have mentioned how I got this idea - my buddy has the L-P chicane mirrors on his CBR929RR. They are nice the weave looks good up close and they are perfectly functional you can see just fine.
And as far as ricey, well, I have been in a car with vision mirrors and they are definately not any more functional than stock (as far as viewing area) and might be a little less but not much. So unless they provide an aerodynamic advantage, then its all just for looks right?
Lockhart-Phillips is a reputable company in the sportbike industry and I'm sure that the other mirrors I showed are just as functional as the chicanes on my friends bike.
