Anyone ever buff out scratches off a glass surface?
So when i removed the tint from my rear hatch, i fucked it up.
I peeled all the tint off, no problem.
I bought a can of gum-out for the sticky film and SOS sponge (no metal in it). Scrubbed that bastard for like 2 hours. Finally got all the sticky crap off.
Put it back on my hatch, and its covered with scratches. They are surface scratches, but they are everywhere. Pretty much the whole window.
Now, is there something i can buy to get them out? Or should i take it to a glass repair place? If so, does anyone have any referrals in SoCal?
HELP!

If you search the g2ic articles (I think that's the website name), it should have a link to some sort of glass polish. I never got around to buying it, but it was said to polish out some scratches in glass.
try that glass polish stuff. But if that doesnt work, you may as well try buffing it. The other day at work, i saw a co worker buffing a cd and i asked wtf he was doing and he goes ''buffing my cd'' and ways im like isnt that going to ruing it? he said no and it actually got ALL the scratched out and it looked brand new and hasnt skipped since. Might be the same affect for glass

That will work for plastic and car clearcoats, but I don't know if that will work for glass or not. Depends on how abrasive it is and what sorts of abrasives are in it.
