Just ordered all of my stuff...thoughts?
I just finished ordering all of my stuff a couple days ago and I am thinking that it should make me significantly faster, I'd like some thoughts from fellow H22'ers though.
I'm currently running a del Sol with an H22, relatively stock except for exhaust and cam gears (useless at this point, but not for long). But, I should be putting the following in pretty soon:
- Stage II camshafts
- retainers, high compression valves, and valve springs
- DC Sports header (I know it doesn't do that well, but I didn't feel like waiting 6 months for a custom header and making a little more power that I can get through other means)
- Type S pistons (11.1 compression)
- Intake from a Integra Type R modified to fit my setup
- Skunk2 Intake Manifold (the shop says that I'll have it in a month or more)
- Re-tuning my ECU through a dyno. I know it's not Hondata, but the fuel/air ratio will be right and I can finally lower the VTEC engagement if necessary (or make it higher if needed)
I'm hoping for really low 13's on street tires. Any thoughts?

sounds good , but honestly get rid of that header it sucks, i know a kid that has one it actually made his car slower, we boh have i/h/e but i have smsp, aem , apexi he has dc ebay , and tanabe , and the other night i beat him by like 50 cars , and im untuned it makes a big diff, if you dont want to wait for custom get the greddy or prospeed or something anything but dc , imo the header is the most important part on the h series motor, also you might want to think about a clutch and flywheel, good luck

are you talking about just bone stock? Unless you are a terrible driver a h22hatch is going to run 15s, my h22 hatch ran 13.9 with ebay intake, 2.25" crush bent exhaust w/ street tires, and 13.6 on drag radials, I've seen many many many h22 hatches run 13s on street tires, mine was almost stock and running 13s on street tires, with his setup he will be running in the 13s for sure on street tires, I doubt you're going to have the skunk2 manifold anytime soon though, but with your setup I would say mid 13s on street tires and low 13s, possibly even high 12s with drag radials and a good clutch, this is only if you are an experienced driver

Just out of curiosity, has this shop ever worked on your car b4?

Yeah, they work on my car all of the time. They did the original swap and everything, he says that the part is on back order and that I'd have the part in around a month...maybe. The place is All Version in Orlando, they're good with just about anything and have never steered me wrong.
He was up front about it and told me that it'd probably be a month or more before I actually see this part. I just put a little money down right away to make sure that when/if it comes out, that I get it soon afterward.

See my post above for who I go to. I haven't gotten the car dynoed, but I hear that the best place around Orlando is Titan Motorsports.

****, I said a month or less in the first post. My bad. Meant to say a month or more.

They've always been real helpful with me, but I guess you might have talked to someone that might work there that I have never dealt with before. I always try and deal with the guy that owns the place, Pop. He knows his **** and can tell you straight up what you need. I'd recommend anyone into Hondas going to this guy.
