Default 93 Civic DX and the stock class

First I'm an autocrosser from North of the border.

the rules here allow for a different sized wheel to be used when running in the stock class, which makes it simple to get something thats the right size.

however I'd like to try a few SCCA events in the states and from what I've read I have to use the stock wheel size 13x5.. so the question now is what r compound tires would fit on that thin of a rim? could I use a 215 or a 225? personally I don't really want to go with a 175

You can probably find more detailed descriptions on here in other threads if you search.. but the short answer is it can be done. I run a 225/50/13 Hoosier on my stock 13x5.

there is some question as to heating it up, and giving up some transitional ability, but I wouldn't run the thinner tire on my CRX.
