anyone have some hard proof of a flywheel upgrade?
i was just reading through some posts on lightened flywheels and have been thinking about getting one for a while. i was just wondering if anyone had some numbers from a 1/4 mile with a before and after flywheel mod. any big changes in 60' times? all ive seen in the posts is people talking about the butt dyno and how it feels faster. just lookin for a little proof. post up any of your experiences with lightened flywheels. thanks alot.
ps im probably going to get the fidanza 7.5lb

no proof but my butt dyno
my car sounds not as loud now either when decelerating. I went from the GSR to a much lighter one
very good
just have to compensate for the revs going down too fast so gotta shift faster
-aoib0t, who has no clue about accelerating.

no dyno or track numbers, but the CLUTCH MASTERS flywheel w/ a stage3 clutch in my 94 gsr is an awesome upgrade over the stock flywheel & exedy stage 2 clutch I had (blew the springs out of the exedy clutch). Revs much, much faster.
I would recomend the aluminum flywheel!!!

I also have a ClutchMasters 7.5 lb flywheel (the blue aluminum one) w/ their stage 1 clutch in my stock GS-R, love it. I've had it on for probably 40K miles now, and I'm totally used to it. Revving up when downshifting is much faster. On the drag strip I don't think it really does anything, except make it harder to keep in the power band. But who cares, drag racing is ghey anyway
