Default crx battery light

last night i was driveing home from a friends house when i just out of the blue decided to play with the dimmer switch on my headlights

all of a sudden the battery light came on and would not go off untill the car would go above 3500rpm

nothing seemed to happen to the idel when i pulled up to a stop light everything seemed fine...i turned my 500w amp back on and the radio and nothing happend

just wondering how to make the light turn off...and what made it go on in the first place

Check the belt on the Altenator. Make sure its nice and tight. Also check your power wire coming off the altenator make sure its tight. and check your main ground. Good luck

just to add on to the post..

a few weeks ago when i would start my car after a night dew would settle on top of the car...alternator belt ...the only other belt on my car other then the timeing belt and the only one that would squeak...squeaked...for about 10 sec then it would just fade away

now does everyone think the belt is not turning or it is just reallly loose

thanks for your opinions

I think the belt is just loose or its old and worn out. Just check it out and let us know what it looked like and if it was loose.
