EXPO 4: One last Update
Hello Everyone,
The 2004 Integra Type-R Expo is finally going to happen. The Sponsors have come through and despite some difficulties we are set to have a great time. I want to send event details to everyone so please read this carefully.
First the Schedule . . . Registration will start at 4:00 till 6:00 pm Friday afternoon. Please make a point to register by 6:00 pm to pick up your registration packet which will have your ticket to get into the Banquet. The Banquet will start around 7:00 pm Friday night. We are holding the banquet at the Holiday Inn (The official Expo Hotel).
The track event will be on a very tight schedule to ensure we get all the available track time for everyone. Gates open at 7:00 AM. Instructors will tech their student’s cars and turn the form in before they will be allowed on track. We have 45 minutes allotted in the morning for tech. I would suggest everyone try to find their instructor before the drivers meeting and take care of tech to maximize track time. The drivers meeting is mandatory and will start at 7:45 AM. This is a MANDATORY meeting and all drivers are required to attend. Anyone missing it will be required to attend a second meeting during their first run session. Please don’t be late for this!
There is an Instructor Meeting at 7:30 AM at the track as well. This will be brief but will discuss rules of the track and handle questions.
Appropriate track attire: We are requiring ALL drivers to wear Long Sleeve Shirts and Pants while on track. These should be 100% cotton and are required. You will be black flagged and not allowed to return to the track until you have the proper clothing. Instructors will be asked to watch for this before you go out. This is only for drivers while they are on track. Helmets will be required but we are not providing any loaner helmets.
I will be giving out a complete track schedule and driver/instructor assignments at registration on Friday night.
We have over 200 people coming to party and hang out at the Expo so we should expect a great time. The sponsors have treated us well again (A little less stuff this year but I don’t think anyone will notice J). Please drive safe and feel free to contact me with questions. See you all Friday.
