Default Why isnt my car running 15 flats.

Ok my car weighs 3100 with me in it . I know this is really heavy. But still i just dynoed at 178.4 and 154.6. I would think i could pull 15 flats. Here is my time slip. This was with shitty tires (no name).
60'-2.313
330-6.528
1/8-9.931
mph-73.37
1000-12.834
1/4-15.273
mph-89.56
Also i would redline every gear to 7600. For some reason i felt my trap speed was low.Maybe i need to shift to fourth at like 7000. Please help.

your mph is really low...I'd say it's the weight...I don't think your car is 3100 wiht you in it...

2.3 60 is also on the high side...you need more like a 2.1

I tend to agree but only after going redline on the 1-2...to stay in VTEC. Afterwards your motor is making peak power at 6800-7000 so on your tach shifting at 7000-7200 would be smarter.

Yea i was going to 7600 every shift. Maybe thats why my mph is so low. My dyno graph shows peak power at 7k but my torque is only at 135 at that rpm. Oh yea i weighed my car and its was 2950 with out me in it. Besides the point my car seems quick from rolling starts being I beat a b16 crx hatch from a 60 mph roll by 1 car. I also hung a car behind a srt4 from a 45 mph roll on the way back from the track.

why not just get good tires?

you might shave off .1-.3 seconds by changing your shifting, or you could just get your power to the ground in the first place and improve by double that.

Street racing is bad and maybe the SRT4 guy was a bad driver because the SRT4 is a crazy fast car.

Dude, keep stupid **** like this to you self......anyways, i know i used to run 15.0 @93mph before i got my VAFC. After i got the VAFC and tunned it out, i made 181whp and i could barely get the car to run 15.2. And my traps were 89mph. And all this was with 2.1 60'. Now i reset the VAFC and the car runs way better. The tuner who tunned the car just made sure he could get the highest power he could but didnt really do much for the overall power curve. Therefore the car wasnt faster. Im taking it to a different tuner soon and see if i get better results.

Not that crazy fast. I've driven one, and I wasn't as impressed as I thought I'd be. I've driven an RSX as well and I think that car feels just as quick and the ride/fashion is so much better.

Oh, and I weighed my car with me in it + stereo system (go to your local landfill, they have vehicle scales there). 2860. I went to test and tune last night and got a best time of 14.1xx and a 2.0 60'. This is with a turboless, turbo-built H23 w/no A/C. I can get you the slip if you wish. There is quite a difference in our weight, but you should be at least running close to a 15.

why dont you go to hell. not everyone cares about having a fast car in the 1/4 mile you know. this guy thinks he should be running 15 flats, he's not asking for advice to get to the 12 second range.

let me guess, you live your life a 1/4 mile at a time? get over it man there's more to enjoying life (or just cars) than somethign that's "fast" at the strip.

Whatever you say. 15.2 in my books is damn quick for a 4 door accord that weighs 3100 with me in it.I also know it had the potential to get into the high 14's. Im just trying to figure out how.

What car is this h23 in bc i saw no preludes. Their was another h22 accord ,but it was a 93 (lighter) with zex and his best was a 14.9. I asked him and he said he was spraying . I was their at moroso last night. I had the white accord running 15.2's all night.
